Get $3.99 In Oprah from Free KFC Coupon Lawsuit
Two years ago, Oprah promoted KFC coupons for a free grilled chicken meal. The promotion quickly turned into a disastrous class action lawsuit that has finally settled. What started out as a "small" Oprah-promoted special for Oprah viewers was open to the general public online, and quickly went viral. KFC was forced to close the promotion simply because they did not expect so many people to download the KFC coupons. Because so many KFC coupons were downloaded, many franchises simply refused to honor them. Needless to say, this left quite a few disgruntled customers with a bad taste in their mouths.
The KFC coupon class action suit settled for $1.575 million settlement. If you still have your original coupon, you can collect $3.99 per coupon, up to a maximum of $15.96 per household. If you send in PDFs of the coupon, you collect $2 each, up to $8. Claim forms will net you $1 for each KFC coupon you had, up to $4.

Various Home Depot volunteers throughout the country partnered with local nonprofit groups to spruce up local firehouses in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. Dominos plans to be the first fast food chain on the moon
Dominos, popular for its '30 minutes or free fastest pizza delivery on the planet,' has been planning to build a pizza restaurant on the moon for the past year. Cost of the project is estimated at about $21 billion to cover transportation of materials to the moon's surface and the branch construction. It is estimated that 15 rockets will be required to transport 70 tons of construction materials and pizza-making equipment to the moon to complete the project. Dominos is hoping to cut costs by using mineral deposits on the moon to make the necessary concrete. Initial drawings depict a two-story domed facility with a basement, and an area to prepare the pizza. Staff would be required to live on-site. Despite the current moon project, Dominos was not the first pizza restaurant to deliver a pizza in space. That distinction belongs to Pizza Hut with a pizza delivery to astronauts in the International Space Station in 2001.

Who needs Pizza Hut coupons when you can pay with food stamps?
Yum! Brands, owner of Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell, wants to have its restaurants included in the federal food stamp program. With the number of businesses qualifying to accept food stamps growing by one third between 2005 and 2010, Yum! Brands is trying to get their restaurants more involved in the program. Historically, the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has not allowed food stamps to be used to purchase prepared foods. With convenience stores and pharmacies have been approved to accept food stamps due to the sheer numbers of people living below the poverty line, fast food chains like Pizza Hut are arguing that they should be able to accept coupons as well. Yum! Brands is trying to fall under a provision in the federal program permitting restaurants like Pizza Hut to serve disabled, elderly and homeless people.
