Abilify. Anti-depressant or Anti-psychotic? Are the Abilify side effects worth the effectiveness of the treatment?

Abilify, frequently advertised as a supplement for anti-depressants when they are not effective "enough" in the treatment of depression, is actually an anti-psychotic used in the treatment of Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. While bipolar patients do experience depression, treatment is very different and anti-depressants are not found to be effective in its treatment. It has been found too that Abilify is only effective in the treatment of depression about 25% of the time. Strange that the commercials stress the treatment of depression when in the studies, the improvement may actually have been due to adding an exercise routine, or psychotherapy, and not Abilify itself. Placebos have indeed to have been found to be nearly as effective as Abilify, which kind of lends credence to this point. Check here for the side effects: http://pharmacydrugguide.com/Abilify_Side_Effects. What do you Should Abilify be advertised as an add-on for depression? Is it worth it?
