Get $3.99 In Oprah from Free KFC Coupon Lawsuit

Two years ago, Oprah promoted KFC coupons for a free grilled chicken meal. The promotion quickly turned into a disastrous class action lawsuit  that has finally settled. What started out as a "small" Oprah-promoted special for Oprah viewers was open to the general public online, and quickly went viral. KFC was forced to close the promotion simply because they did not expect so many people to download the KFC coupons. Because so many KFC coupons were downloaded, many franchises simply refused to honor them. Needless to say, this left quite a few disgruntled customers with a bad taste in their mouths.

The KFC coupon class action suit settled for $1.575 million settlement. If you still have your original coupon, you can collect $3.99 per coupon, up to a maximum of $15.96 per household. If you send in PDFs of the coupon, you collect $2 each, up to $8. Claim forms will net you $1 for each KFC coupon you had, up to $4.
